Good to know
Before you ring
Nesting season
From 1 March to 31 August birds nest in hedges and the Wildlife Act protects them. Heavy cutting is done outside those months; Jono will say what can be done now.
Leylandii and laurel
Fast growers that get out of hand quickly. Cutting back hard is easier spread over a couple of visits.
Roadside hedges
A hedge along a road should not hang out over it. Jono can bring it back in.
